I had a session with talented, multi-instrumentalist Quinn Bachand a few weeks back in downtown Victoria. I’m pretty certain you could hand him any instrument with strings and he would make it sound like he had played it for a lifetime!
I don’t want to brag about the weather we’ve been having while all my family and friends on the East Coast are experiencing the most relentless winter in years. However, (*East Coasters: skip to the next sentence*) it’s been wonderful! Last evening I had a session with Quinn Bachand to take some promo photos for his upcoming gigs, and got treated to tunes on three different guitars, the fiddle, and banjo. I’m pretty sure Quinn can play anything with strings! More images down the road.
I took some portraits yesterday of the two Jamie Troys from JWT Reedmakers as part of my ongoing ‘Forever Bewildered’ series on ATRIA Collective. JP was already featured on week one of the series, and subjects/locations can’t be repeated (as a challenge to myself) so he wasn’t part of the post on ATRIA this week . However, since it was his dad’s birthday, it was a good chance to make an image of JW in the workshop.
Both images were photographed with the Fuji x100s, making this my first non-Canon blog post. Drop me a note if you’re interested in being a participant in the series!
