I look forward to my session with the Millar Family each year. The only real chance we get to hang out is at the highland games hollering our conversations over pipes and drums, so a quiet hour or two away from the games field is like an added bonus.

Millar Girls – Sneak Peek
I had a session with the Millar Family last weekend in Burnaby, BC. Two images for now, more to come down the road!
Alexio + Amel + Pierre – Victoria Portrait Session
The last time I saw Alexio was on his first birthday. He was happily sitting in a swing while the party went on around him. Needless to say, a lot has changed since then and he’s not much a fan of sitting still!

Dexter at One – Birthday Portrait Session
Some days the wind blows so hard you can barely keep your feet on the ground. That was the case on the day of the session with Kirsten, Graeme, and their sweet one year old Dexter. We drove to two other windy beaches before settling on Willows Beach (thanks to a suggestion by Graeme). We had a great session with everyone snuggling to keep warm, ending with a celebratory first birthday cupcake for Dexter.

Lawson Family – Victoria Portrait Session
Andrew, Kirsty and Ella spent a morning with me during their visit from Glasgow. They’ve been taking Ella on a bit of a cross-Canada tour to introduce her to all of their relatives and friends. It’s always a treat to be able to hang out with the Lawsons, and it’s a bonus to do that at a time other than the busy week of the World Pipe Band Championships! The last time we spent a good chunk of time together was on their wedding day a couple of years ago! We began the session at home where we witnessed Ella’s first ever ‘pouty lip’…nice that we were able to document it for her! Looking forward to seeing the Lawsons (hopefully) in Glasgow during July and getting a few more snuggles from Ella.
