When it comes to Cape Breton pianists (and stepdancers), Mac Morin is the bee’s knees. He was on the West Coast touring with Natalie MacMaster and his schedule allowed for a half day of photos before their concert in Nanaimo. It’s been a while since his last album came out, so it’s great to hear that some new projects are in the works! We’re going to do more photos down the road, likely in another city where our schedules collide.

Sarah + Derek – Victoria BC Engagement Session

I had an engagement session with Sarah and Derek a few weekends ago. They initially chose to have their session at home in their garden, but opted to have their session in the park and down around the ocean where they had their first date. Once their garden fills in mid-summer, we’ll roll up our sleeves, pick some veggies, and finish part two of their session at home.

I look forward to my session with the Millar Family each year. The only real chance we get to hang out is at the highland games hollering our conversations over pipes and drums, so a quiet hour or two away from the games field is like an added bonus.
Piseag + Astrid – Sweden Family Documentary

Finally settling into an office routine after jetlag and some hectic days getting images prepped for the Atria Collective launch. Once I get caught up on edits, I’ll be adding another gallery to my collections on Atria after following Astrid around for 3 weeks in Sweden. Just one image now of Astrid ‘napping’ at her grandparent’s home at a time when she’s completely obsessed with kittens/cats aka the Piseag (her first Gaelic word and the name she’s given to that giant cat).
