Sabra MacGillivray – Little River Portrait Session

I had a session with Sabra MacGillivray during the week of Celtic Colours. She was needing some promotional photos for her upcoming instructional dance dvd, so we met at Little River in between shows and festival clubbing! It was absolutely freezing around the wharf with the wind cutting right through us, but Sabra made it look like a balmy day! Sabra and I go way back and used to spend summers teaching together at the Gaelic College, and even spent a few weeks as roommates in one of the super-haunted dorm rooms. She’s a lovely highland dancer and stepdancer, as well as a Registered Massage Therapist/business owner at Celtic Touch Day Spa…make sure to stop by on your next visit to Cregnish! Sabra’s fisherman husband Iain came along for the session so we managed to tear him away from visiting the fishermen on their boats and in a few photos.

Magee Family – Royal Roads Portrait Session

The annual family portrait session with the Magees has come and gone. I had to wait until now to post the photos since they are always passed out as Christmas gifts from the Magees to the rest of the family. I spent Christmas Eve with Kendyl and Callum dancing, counting elves, and decorating imaginary Christmas trees during the family get together. They are such clever kids and make me laugh my head off…not to mention it’s nice to have a few people around who humour my crazy imagination.

At Home with The Ross Family – Sidney Portrait Session

I made a trip out to the Ross Family home to finish off our session. December can be a bit chilly for portrait sessions, so we stuck indoors for a little bit. I believe it was my fifth or sixth session with the Ross family, and each time we meet up it’s a treat!Sidney BC Family Portrait SessionSidney BC Family Portrait SessionSidney BC Family Portrait SessionSidney BC Family Portrait SessionSidney BC Family Portrait SessionSidney BC Family Portrait SessionSidney BC Family Portrait SessionSidney BC Family Portrait SessionSidney BC Family Portrait Session

Kamryn + Ronin – Sneak Peek

That’s more like it Ronin! A snuggle from his big sister led to big baby giggles yesterday! More to come in the next few days as well as another image from this session on Monday morning over on the Photographer Network blog as my photo of the week.

Ross Family – Island View Beach Family Portrait Session

This was my fifth session with the Ross Family. We went to Island View Beach last Sunday morning for their annual session. It was pretty freezing and little Ronin didn’t want to have anything to do with getting his photo taken! I made a trip to their home yesterday for a little visit with my camera and got a few of him giggling and smiling…things he does when he’s well napped and not out at the beach in December! Kamryn always manages to crack me up and yesterday she gave me a thumbs-up sticker that said ‘Good Job’. A nice little reward for my last portrait session of the year!
