Drum Circle at Beardy’s

I had the honour of meeting and documenting Mr. DeBray’s grade 7 class at the Constable Robin Cameron Education Complex in Saskatchewan a few weeks ago. I’m now editing images of the kids taken over the three days in class, participating in their YETE (Youth Empowerment Through Exercise) program, as well as individual portraits. I’m heading back to Beardy’s in June to work with the students in deciding how and where their images should be used to celebrate the success of the YETE program in their class…looking forward to the trip already! Here are two images of the kids participating in a lunchtime drum circle in preparation for the hoop dance troupe’s performance. The rest of the images will be posted in the summer!

*A big hello to Mr. DeBray and the class! See you soon!

Rowan + Riley – Breakfast for Two and Four Little Pigtails

I love Rowan and Riley to bits and could watch them for hours on end without tiring. They have all of my favourite parts of Bonnie Jean and Michael jam-packed into toddler form, and are two tiny, adorable, and hilarious girls. During my last visit and on my first morning there, the girls requested pigtails during their breakfast. After getting cleaned up they went to play with their dolls, who are now being nursed…a task they recently learned when a new baby sister came into their lives.
