Yesterday was our launch day for Atria Collective (previously called Photographer Network). We are the same 5 photographers (Ben Benvie, Christian Webber, Jenna Shouldice, Tristan Shouldice, and myself). Over the past years we’ve each photographed a photo of the week to share on our blog, but now with a change of gears and direction, we are focusing our energy into creating a home for our stories. A lot of work has gone into the Atria Collective website and with a compilation of 27 portfolio collections between the 5 photographers, there’s plenty to see! We will continue to post ongoing work on our blog and tumblr and sharing many more stories on the website.

Atria Collective
Back in the Office
After three weeks in Sweden visiting my family, I’m back in the office. Catching up on work and edits and compiling images for the May 1st launch of Atria Collective!
Out of Office
I’m on my way to Sweden to spend some time on Auntie/sister duty. I’ll be back in the office on April 25th after flying back to attend the Canada Photo Convention in Vancouver. I’ll be answering emails on the road, but my internet access may be limited at times. Thanks for your patience!
Fearless Award – Collection 13
Just learned that this image from Joel and Scott’s New York wedding received a Fearless Award! Lots of great images in the round!
2012
2012 has been a pretty busy year for me. I’ve taken on some different projects which have pushed me in ways I can’t even begin to explain. A highlight of the year was the time spent in Saskatchewan at Beardy’s First Nation with Mr. DeBray’s YETE class (which I’m proud to say will continue through 2013). In the thick of my busiest time for portraits and weddings, I photographed a national campaign for an agency in Toronto which was a great way to discover how my portrait work can fit in a commercial setting. I have a wonderful group of clients, both new and repeats, and I thank them all for the continuing support and referrals. Family, friends, and all of you folks who comment on my blog posts and photos – thank you. When my days are spent cooped-up in my office editing, your voices are the ones that keep encouraging me! JPT…you’re the bee’s knees and the smiling face at the end of my day. Without you, I’m sure I’d be surviving on a well-rounded diet of sour candy and coffee. I’ll sign off with with a giant thanks, and some images of the people and moments I saw this year. The slideshow is set to the music of The Fretless and I felt it was appropriate to use one of their sets since the album was the soundtrack for most of my editing throughout 2012. If you don’t own their album yet, treat yourself and make a resolution to listen to it daily. Thank you and see you in 2013!
