Anna and Andrew were married at Lowden House Farm in Habitant, NS. Lots of laughs and good stories at this wedding (not to mention a near-heart attack by their photographer after seeing the fake snake on the staircase!). Just a few images for now and many more down the road. Lowden House Wedding PhotographyLowden House Wedding PhotographyLowden House Wedding PhotographyLowden House Wedding PhotographyLowden House Wedding PhotographyLowden House Wedding PhotographyLowden House Wedding Photography

Amy + Sean – Toronto Wedding Photography

Amy and Sean were married at Fantasy Farm Event Centre in Toronto, ON. I spent the first part of the day with the boys at Stout Irish Pub before heading off to photograph the girls getting ready at Fantasy Farm. Super-talented Sean and Amy met around the highland games when he was piping for dancers, and she was one of the highland dancers. It made sense that he piped her down the aisle on their wedding day…how he did it without bursting into tears is still a mystery to me.

Krista + Daryl – Whistler BC Wedding

Krista and Daryl were married in June at Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler, BC. Krista is a piper so there were lots of familiar faces in attendance, as well as a pretty entertaining crew from the Maritimes! Jen + Donnie – Halfmoon Bay Wedding

Jen + Donnie contacted me about photographing their wedding and accompanied their ceremony venue GPS coordinates with the email (turned out to be a giant rock in the middle of the bay.) They asked if I could swim (not very well, even less so with camera gear!) and if I had rubber boots to bring along (every good Maritimer has a pair of rubber boots in the trunk of their car!). When I arrived the morning of the wedding, the rock was just barely visible and mostly covered by water. With an hour to go before the ceremony, I was skeptical and didn’t have much trust in the tide receding, all the while making my plan B on how to get closer to the rock without drowning. Donnie however, had this timed out to the second complete with a full tactical team enlisted for their ceremony (Donnie knows tides).  Jen and her father were the last people to be brought to the rock by boat, and like Donnie said, the tide was out. I trudged/ran my way out to the rock almost losing my boots on each step as they were sucked into the ‘quicksand’. I’ve never run so much during a wedding ceremony and only paused/froze once while the neighbour’s dog followed me out to the rock and was about to shake muddy water all over me!

Sarah + Fin – Sneak Peek

Just home from a week over in Scotland shooting Sarah and Fin’s wedding festivities spread over a few days in Edinburgh. I had a chance to visit family, some old and new friends, and play a few tunes, making for a pretty jam-packed-laugh-filled week. It was pretty special for me to attend their wedding, let alone photograph the day. I’ve been friends with Fin for 20+ years, and wouldn’t have missed it for the world. More down the road.
